Picture Thesaurus (APT)
"A collection
of topic terms for indexing Australian images. The APT uses contemporary
Australian terminology to describe objects, people, places and structures,
activities and concepts depicted in an image. It ensures the common description
of pictorial collections across Australian libraries, museums and archives.
Canadian
Literacy Thesaurus
"A bilingual list
of standardized vocabulary in the area of adult literacy. Developed in
consultation with the Canadian literacy community, both the terminology
and structure of the Thesaurus reflect the diversity of regional literacy
practices and activities across Canada." The Thesaurus is produced
and maintained by the Canadian Literacy Thesaurus Coalition.

the Global Legal Information Network (GLIN) which is "the English-language
thesaurus now used for The Global Legal Information Network's multi-national
database of legislation has been under continuous development since 1950.

approach to indexing world legislation."
